Program Date
This feature in the Settings menu lets you set any date to be "todayÆs" date. The date you enter here will appear automatically every time you enter a transaction, until you either change the program date again, or exit from Instant.
This facility is useful if, for example, you are entering a batch of bank payments or receipts that were all made on the same day. You can use the Change Program Date option to set "todayÆs" date to be the date when these payments or receipts were made. This means, that Instant will automatically enter the date you require for each entry.
The next time that you run your Instant program, the system date as set up in your Control Panel appears as "todayÆs" date again.
If you change your program date, this date is only applicable for your Instant program. It does not change the date in any of your other Windows applications.
Note: If you are using the Access Rights facility, you should always remember to log off properly. When the next user logs on, the new program date you entered is retained by the program.
